What to Expect

Our Nursery is open all morning for children up to 2 years old.

For children aged 3 years old to 5^th grade, we offer Children’s Sunday School at 10:00 a.m. Ideally, everyone in the family would attend their own age-appropriate Sunday school class and then worship together the hour either before or after Sunday school. Sunday school helps us to learn more about the Bible and, for children, have a hands-on experience to help them relate to and understand the word at a developmentally appropriate level. Worship is for the entire body of Christ (children included) to come together to praise God, pray, hear the Word proclaimed, and participate in the sacraments of the church. It is up to you to find what is right for your family, but we encourage families to grow in their discipleship by attending both Sunday school and worship. Every child is different, but it is typically possible for children as young as 4 to participate in the worship service. We offer a worship kit with materials that help young children participate in and interact with the worship service. There are also many ways parents can help children understand what is going on in worship. She is always happy to chat about that and has resources available for study.

If your child will be attending Sunday school, please sign your children in before church at the children’s check-in area by the nursery in the Ed Wing. You can learn more and create an account with our children’s check-in program, KidCheck, prior to attending.
